Faith Residence

This project is an interior renovation/reconfiguration of an entire 1940 house in East Atlanta. The “doll house” view below was one of the tools used to visualize the design. The house is currently under construction and is scheduled to be complete by Summer 2022.

The big design idea was the removal of an enclosed stair to the attic that visually separated the Living Room and Kitchen. The existing single Bathroom was expanded slightly to become a more spacious Master Bathroom, and a new combined Bathroom/Laundry Room was created for guests and children. The smaller Bedroom was converted to an office/future Nursery and is connected to the Master Bedroom with a concealed door. The Kitchen was reconfigured to provide a more functional layout within the existing footprint, and a separate Dining area completed the composition. A number of new windows were added or expanded in size to take advantage of views to the yard and the skyline of downtown Atlanta.
